One man is dead in Pitt County after troopers said he ran through a stop sign and was t-boned by another vehicle.
According to the Highway Patrol, Larry Dickens, 48, died at the scene after he ran a stop sign in a Chevy Lumina and was sideswiped by a Jeep SUV. It happened at the intersection of Old River Road and Highway 222 at 12:37p.m. Saturday.
The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital.
Troopers said it's unclear why Dickens ran the stop sign and that the other driver will not be charged for the crash.
