CARTERET COUNTY - A man who's accused of robbing the T & W Oyster Bar Restaurant in Carteret County, in 2011, has been found guilty.
A jury found Dennis Jackson guilty of charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon. He will be sentenced to at least seven years in prison.
Jackson, who is currently on parole for other armed robberies in Maryland, will be facing an additional 26 years in prison in that state at the completion of this sentence.
Jackson's defense attorney said they plan to appeal the conviction.

A man who's accused of robbing the T & W Oyster Bar Restaurant in Carteret County, in 2011, had his first day in front of a jury, Monday.
Dennis Young Jackson, 42, of Swansboro, is accused of robbing the restaurant of more than $2,000 along with another man in 2011. Jackson wasn't arrested until 2012. Evidence from the crime scene was sent to the State Bureau of Investigation crime lab for investigation. The evidence led to Jackson's arrest.
Jackson was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. However, he pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Opening statements were heard by the jury, Monday.
Jackson's criminal record shows he was charged in Maryland for Robbery in 1992 and then again in Pennsylvania in 1993.
