NEW BERN, Craven County - The StormTrack 12 weather team has declared a Severe Weather Alert Day for Friday.
A Severe Weather Alert Day is issued when the meteorologists believe severe weather could be in the area and impact your daily routine. There will be breaks in programming if needed for any alerts that may be issued.
Chief Meteorologist Donnie Cox said there are indicators that could lead to development of some severe conditions. Showers and storms are likely mid-morning Friday through the afternoon before finally tapering off later in the day.
