WINTERVILLE, Pitt County - It's a winter wonderland at the Greenville Convention Center as the 2017 Down East Holiday Show begins.
A special adult-only shopping event started Thursday and runs through Sunday. The doors open for the adults-only event starting at 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 per person at the door and $10 online.
The rest of the schedule is as follows and is for everyone:
-- Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Tickets $10 per person at the door or $8 per person online
-- Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Tickets $10 per person at the door or $8 per person online
-- Sunday, 2017, Noon-5 p.m., Tickets $10 per person at the door or $8 per person online
The event, which raises money for the Pitt Community College Foundation will have over 190 vendors participating. There are at least 40 new vendors, said PCC Event Specialist Erin Greenleaf in a press release.
“This is the biggest fundraiser we hold each year, so it’s important for it to be successful in generating revenue for student scholarships and educational activities at the college.
WCTI is one of the sponsors of the event and will be showcasing it all weekend. Valentina Wilson will participating in a cooking demonstration on Sunday with Christian Brown, a nationally-known chef from Greenville, and UNC-TV food expert Bob Garner.
There will also be chances to see Santa and pose for pictures on Friday from 4-6 p.m., Saturday from 2-5 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Parents must take photos of Santa with their own camera.
