GREENVILLE, Pitt County - A sixth person has been arrested in connection to a rash of robberies in Greenville.
Greenville Police said Jahsijah Jahson, 17, was taken into custody around noon on Thursday. Bond information and a photo were not available.
Five teenagers, three of them under the age of 18, have been arrested and charged in eight robberies that have happened in the Greenville area, including two Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Greenville residents Zakee Hines, 16, Irashurmir Perkins, 16, Maurice Whichard, 17, Raekwon Stancil, 18, and Hasani McPherson,18, were arrested Tuesday morning and charged with eight counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and eight counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. They are currently being held at the Pitt County Detention Center.

Police said a robbery was reported at the Speedway located at 3000 Stantonsburg Road. Witnesses reported a black male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The same thing happeend at the Speedway at 1601 Greenville Boulevard. Money was taken at both locations and nobody was hurt.
Shortly after the second robbery, Greenville Police noticed a vehicle matching the description of the one use in the robberies. With assistance from the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was stopped on Gardenia Street. Officers recovered money stolen from the robberies inside the car and all five occupants were detained for questioning.
