Early Tuesday, NewsChannel 12 obtained mug shots of four of the five suspects in custody. No photo was available for Jones as his initial court appearance was pending.

Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram told NewsChannel 12 that at least five people broke into a home on 366 Tilghman Mill Road. Ingram said the homeowner had a security system that allowed him to see inside his home when he is away.

According to Ingram, the homeowner received an alert to his phone showing the suspects inside. That's when the owner rushed home and shot one of the suspects, according to Ingram.

The suspect who was shot did not have life-threatening injuries. Ingram said the others ran away, but one was quickly captured. The other three suspects were captured around 10 p.m. Monday with help from Kinston Police, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, the N.C. Highway Patrol, the N.C. Highway Patrol Air Unit, N.C. Wildlife and N.C. DMV inspectors.

Officials had the wooded area surrounded at one point and even brought in a helicopter to assist with the search.
