RALEIGH - Relief from these high gas prices is coming.
ABC affiliate WTVD reports The Colonial Pipeline has restarted Pipeline 1 between Houston and Lake Charles, La. The pipeline was shut down after Hurricane Harvey to inspect and make repairs.
The pipeline restart was scheduled for Sunday and Monday but was pushed back a day for repairs and inspection.
Gas prices have reached an average of $2.61 in the state with some places even higher. On our GasBuddy app at WCTI12.com, it reports prices are as high as $2.65 in Greenville and New Bern. The highest price reported in Jacksonville is $2.61 with one location in Havelock reporting $2.75.
