Jacksonville Police: Armed robber at large

JACKSONVILLE, ONSLOW COUNTY - The Jacksonville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

According to investigators, the suspect took out his gun and demanded money from a clerk at Go Gas, located at 257 S. Marine Blvd. Police did not say when the robbery happened or how much money the suspect got away with.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'6'' or 5'7'' with brown eyes and noticeable yellowing around his irises. He also had a southern accent, police said. The suspect was wearing a dark hat, a dark jacket zipped up around his face, and dark jeans.
