JACKSONVILLE, ONSLOW COUNTY -

A Jacksonville intersection has been partially closed so crews can repair a major water leak.

According to city officials, traffic is being diverted around portions of the Henderson Drive and Doris Avenue intersection. City officials are advising drivers to find an alternate route that does not include that intersection.

The repairs are expected to take most of Thursday, and are being expedited to protect the water lines and lessen the impact of traffic, officials said.

Drivers are asked to respect the Move Over law to protect the utility workers on the job.
