Greenville Police search for suspect in car break-in

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Police are asking for the public to help identify a suspect in a Greenville car break-in.

Investigators have released surveillance photos from the Food Lion at 3136 E. 10th St. According to police, the man seen in the images used a stolen check to buy a pack of cigarettes and obtain $50 in cash.

The check was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Bellamy and Kittrell Farms area, said police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at 252-758-7777.

Since September, there have been about 18 car break-ins in the Bellamy and Kittrell Farms area.
