Greenville Police investigate KFC armed robbery

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Greenville police are searching for two suspects in an alleged armed robbery at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

Officials said it happened at the KFC on Southeast Greenville Boulevard Monday around 8:30 p.m.

Two men entered the restaurant and one acted as a lookout while the other jumped over the counter. The suspect behind the counter had a handgun and demanded the manager give him money from the cash register and a safe.

The suspects then ran out of the store and towards Cherry Court.

A K-9 unit assisted in the search for the two men but were unsuccessful.
