Greenville Police: ECU student robbed, suspects at large

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Greenville Police said they are looking for three people who robbed and injured an ECU student.

An ECU ALERT was sent out Friday after the student reported he was robbed of his backpack and laptop computer at about 12:30 a.m on East Rock Springs Road. Police said no weapons were used during the robbery, but one suspect did hit the victim in the face, causing minor injuries.

The three robbers were last seen running on foot toward 10th Street, police said.  One suspect was described as a muscular black male, about 6 feet tall with no visible facial hair or glasses, who was wearing a navy blue hoodie. No descriptions were provided for the other two suspects.
