Former Greenville police officer sentenced
A former Greenville police officer pleaded guilty Thursday morning to three counts of altering, stealing and/or destroying criminal evidence.
Penny Warren in the Pitt County DA's office tells NewsChannel 12, Rose Edmonds received a six to seven month active, suspended sentence. Edmonds will be under supervised probation for three years.
Edmonds must also complete 120 hours of community service within the next 180 days.
For the next three months, Edmonds will be under electronic monitoring.
Edmonds is not allowed to work with any law enforcement agency.
