Investigators are working to determine what caused a fire on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.

The fire happened in a building on the air station flight line at about 6:26 a.m. Monday, base officials said. The fire was extinguished by 6:40 a.m.

No one was hurt, said base officials. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are under investigation.

The affected building was used by Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14, which provides aviation logistics support to multiple 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing squadrons based at Cherry Point, according to base officials.
