The third time will hopefully be the charm for Annie Lennox.

The 57-year-old singer married Dr. Mitch Besser on September 15 in London, Lennox's rep tells CNN. The private ceremony was attended by family and friends.

According to People magazine, Lennox, who has been married twice before, wore a long white gown and accessorized it with a lace bolero shrug and a 1920s-inspired headpiece.

The singer's two daughters, whom she had with former husband Uri Fruchtmann, reportedly served as bridesmaids.

American gynecologist Besser, also 57, founded the organization mothers2mothers, which aims to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
