SNEADS FERRY - Onslow County Deputies arrested Terri Lynn Martin, 55, for shooting at a man on her neighbor's property. The incident occurred at 132 Gull Drive in Sneads Ferry on Sunday.
"I'm just thankful I'm alive," said the victim, 56-year-old Ray Evans.
Evans said he was mowing the lawn of Roger Nice. Nice, who owns the property, had given Evans permission to park his camper trailer on the vacant lot. According to deputies, Martin was upset that the camper trailer was parked next door to her home.
Evans said Martin, and her male companion, began to harass him and his girlfriend.
"Everytime I went to work on the property, we were getting yelled at. We were called trailer trash when we were there, but we ignored them," said Evans.
NewsChannel 12 viewed a video of the shooting, which authorities have not yet released the public. In the video, Martin - dressed in a bikini - is seen taking a shooter's stance while facing in the direction of Evans. Next, Martin raises what appears to be an automatic handgun toward Evans and fires one shot.
Martin is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Assault by Pointing a Gun, Simple Assault and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Residence. The Magistrate placed Martin on a $7,500 unsecured bond. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
