GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Authorities said they have arrested three suspects who broke into a Pitt County home, stole thousands of dollars in items, and sold them in Raleigh.
Shajuana Cazeau, 35, of Raleigh, and her husband, Cashmere Cazeau, 40, were being held in the Pitt County Detention Center. Shajuana's brother, 21-year-old Brandon Lee Anderson, of Greenville, was also arrested and jailed.
Investigators said they received a report of a breaking and entering on Sandstone Court in Greenville on Aug. 8. The residence is beside the home of Shajuana Cazeau's father, whom she was visiting.
Deputies said Cashmere Cazeau and Anderson broke into the residence and stole more than 40 items worth $2,500, including TVs, DVDs, Wii gaming system and electronic tablets. The suspects also damaged the carpet inside the house by pouring bleach all over the floors in the rooms, investigators said. The victim was at work at the time.
Shajuana Cazeau then allegedly sold some of the stolen property to a "Trade It" store in Raleigh, deputies said.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office arrested Anderson on Sept. 18 and placed him in jail under a $2,500 secured bond.
Raleigh Police later arrested Shajuana and Cashmere Cazeau on Sept. 21. They were issued $15,000 and $8,000 bonds respectively, and were transferred to the Pitt County Detention Center.
All three suspects have been charged with felony breaking and entering, as well as larceny after breaking and entering.
