NEW BERN, CRAVEN COUNTY -

Deputies need help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at a Craven County convenience store.

The armed robbery happened Friday night at the Exprezit II (Citgo) at 1002 U.S. 70 East near New Bern, according to the Craven County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators did not say what weapon was used in the robbery or what was stolen.

They did release a description of the suspect-- a white male with a red goatee in his mid to late twenties who is between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall. The suspect is described as having a medium to stocky build, a long nose, and being possibly bald.

Investigators said the suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white 13-point lightning bolt pattern on the center of the chest area, as well as a pair of black Adidas nylon pants with red stripes. Deputies have since recovered those articles of clothing (pictured HERE and HERE).

The suspect ran from the scene across the Ruby Tuesday's parking lot, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call Inv. Marinez at 252-636-6674 or Craven County Crime Stoppers at 252 623-5141.
