Deputies and police net seven in undercover drug investigation

AYDEN, PITT COUNTY -

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office teamed up with the Ayden Police Department to arrest seven suspects after a 15-month-long undercover drug investigation.

Authorities have released the names of the suspects:

1. Anthony Carmon, 39, of Ayden, was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana. Bond for Camron was set at $150,000.

2. Michael Norris, 23, of Ayden, was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana. Bond for Norris was set at $150,000.

3. David Burney. 29, of Ayden, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine and two counts of maintain dwelling for sale of controlled substance. Bond for Burney was set at $175,000.

4. Dianna Dixon, 28, of Ayden, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine and one count each of possession of marijuana up to half an ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $51,000.

5. Ray Antonio Maxwell, 35, of Ayden, was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana and possession of schedule III controlled substance. Bond was set at $152,500.

6. Melody Allen, 40, of Ayden, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin.
Bond was set at $300,000.

7. Lindsey Brown, Jr., 36, of Ayden, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin.
Brown's bond was set at $25,000.
