Deputies looking for stolen items find alleged meth lab instead

WASHINGTON - Beaufort County Deputies who were looking for stolen property stumbled upon an alleged meth lab in Washington.

Deputies went to 2145 Camp Leech Road looking for stolen property from a local business. When they entered a shop on the residence, they found methamphetamine actively cooking.

Herbert Lee Garriss, 46, and Angela Garriss, 44, were arrested in connection with the meth lab. Authorities also seized 11 guns on the property.

Both Herbert and Angela Garriss are facing multiple meth related charges.

Herbert Garriss is in jail without bond. Angela Garriss has a $10,000 bond.
