Pitt County deputies have identified two of the suspects in a Grimesland robbery involving a grandmother and six of her grandchildren.
According to the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, three black males entered the home on Payton Lane in Grimesland before 4 a.m. A grandmother and her six grandchildren were inside- one of them is 10 years old; the rest are 17 or older. The robbers, who were not wearing masks, fired shots inside the home before stealing an Xbox, wallets, keys and cell phones.
Two of the men have been identified as George Perry, Jr. and Jimmy Caves; Caves is still on the run and considered armed and dangerous. Perry was located at his residence on River Hills Drive in Greenville on Monday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, eight counts of second-degree kidnapping, and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was taken to the Pitt County Detention Center and placed under a $3 million secured bond.
The third suspect has not been identified.
No one was injured, investigators said.
