A convicted felon in Carteret County is facing a long list of drugs and weapons charges.
Deputies arrested 37-year-old Troy Lee Brown, of Newport, on Sept. 20.
According to investigators, Brown, who had outstanding warrants, was driving on Highway 24 in Broad Creek when a deputy spotted and arrested him.
Investigators said they then found numerous firearms in Brown's vehicle and residence. The suspect is a convicted felon.
During a previous investigation on Brown, detectives made numerous drug buys off of the suspect, deputies said.
Brown has been charged with four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of larceny, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, three counts of selling methamphetamine, three counts of delivering meth, and three counts of maintaining a dwelling to sell illegal narcotics.
Brown was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $101,000 bond. He already had his first appearance in court.
