Deputies arrest Pitt Co. couple accused of trafficking drugs
Deputies said they busted a drug operation that was being run by a Pitt County couple.
Walter Thomas Bullock, 49, and Joann Lockamy Bullock, 47, both of Highway 30 in Stokes, have both been charged with trafficking opiates by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a residence for the storage and use of controlled substances. They were each being held under a $250,000 bond, investigators said.
Pitt County deputies said they worked with the Martin County Sheriff's Office and the Williamston Police Department to search the Bullocks' home on Monday. They said they found more than 600 oxycodone pills, about 12 ounces of marijuana, and approximately $20,000 in cash.
Because Walter Bullock is a convicted felon, about 30 firearms were seized from the home as well, deputies said.
The arrests are the result of a three-month investigation, according to authorities. The case is ongoing and other charges are pending.
