Martin County commissioners have issued a curfew that will begin Wednesday night in response to the winter storm.
The curfew will go from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday. The reason is to keep people off the roads so they can be cleared, said Mike Stalls, the director of the Martin County Department of Emergency Management.
Stalls said the roads are very hazardous in Martin County, and that driving on them not only puts residents at risk, but also the emergency responders who would need to go perform rescues.
No State of Emergency has been issued for Martin County, however.
