Authorities are investigating what caused a motorcycle repair shop to catch fire in Lenoir County Tuesday.
According to La Grange Fire Chief Wesley Sutton, the repair shop, located off Highway 903 North just outside La Grange, caught fire before 11 a.m. Tuesday. The blaze was contained in about 20 minutes.
There were no injuries, Sutton said. Crews on scene said the majority of the fire was in the attic of the building.
Sounds of popping could be heard outside the repair shop during the blaze. Sutton said that was the sound of tires and ammunition popping.
At last check, investigators were still looking into what caused the fire.
