Crash into trees sends two people to hospital

HAVELOCK, CRAVEN COUNTY - A car crashed into trees in Havelock Sunday night, sending two people to a hospital, according to the Highway Patrol.

Troopers said 28-year-old Cartier Turner and 25-year-old Eugene Frazier were traveling on Adam's Creek Road, when the driver over-corrected and hit two trees. According to Craven County dispatchers, the accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Turner and Frazier were taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, investigators said. Alcohol may have been involved, according to troopers.
