Burglars steal safe, $3,000 from Salvation Army store, police say

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Police said they are searching for burglars who stole a safe and almost $3,000 from a  Salvation Army store in Greenville.

Investigators said the burglars came through the garage dock lift and through the fence, before entering the Salvation Army Family Center at 2447 Dickinson Ave. Ext. The break-in happened some time between 11:13 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 2:30 p.m. the next day.

According to police, the burglars stole a $500 safe and almost $3,000 in cash. Anyone with information is asked to call Greenville Police at (252) 329-4315.
