An Onslow County toddler was finally able to come home Wednesday after spending 90 days in the hospital.

Christian Turner, of Richlands, was 14 months old when he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas.

While Christian spent months at Duke Medical Center, no one in Richlands gave up hope. Friends and family gathered at Liberty Christian Academy every day at 2:20 p.m. to pray for Christian's health and safe return.

"They stuck with that theme the whole time, every day at 2:20 when they started praying. That's what their prayer was-- for God to bring the baby Christian home," said William Turner, Christian's dad.

On Wednesday, to celebrate Christian's return home, his family rode through Richlands in a parade of tow trucks.

Christian's older brother, Cameron, came up with the idea of "Towing Christian Home." Christian is a fan of the Disney movie,"Cars" and one of its characters, "Mater."

"It is very good that he can be home and we can still be a family," Cameron said.
