About a dozen people were injured in a chain-reaction wreck behind a school bus in Duplin County Monday afternoon.
According to the Highway Patrol, six vehicles were behind the school bus on Highway 241 in Duplin County, just south of Pink Hill in Lenoir County. But the last driver did not stop in time, crashing into the car in front of him, troopers said.
This triggered a chain-reaction wreck that damaged four of the six vehicles behind the school bus, said investigators. Between 12 to 13 people were hurt, but their injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
No one on the school bus was injured, troopers said.
