The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament has hundreds of participants every year. All of those anglers work hard to pull in the largest fish possible to win a boat load of cash.
It's fun for the anglers, but also a lot of work. Perseverance is key to catching a fish, and sometimes boats can go days without a single bite.
NewsChannel12's Kyle Horan spent Thursday aboard the boat "Sensation." Last year, "Sensation" took home second prize in the tournament for pulling in a 423 pound blue marlin.
However, the chances of qualifying for the tournament are very low. There were 117 boats competing for the top prize, but the 56th annual tournament had only 5 qualifying fish.
Kyle takes a look at what a normal day in the Atlantic is like during the tournament.
