Update: Authorities have located the body of 18-year-old Kevin Jaimes Sunday at 9:41am.
The Edgecombe Sheriff's Office was initially called to the scene for a drowning.

The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office went to the Tar River, at Shiloh Landing Friday night at approximately 6:30 after getting a call that someone had disappeared in the river.
A caller had said someone was at a family picnic there, when the victim slipped into the river.
Family couldn't find him.
