CRAVEN COUNTY -

A two-car wreck sent four people, including one child, to the hospital, the Highway Patrol said.

At around 7 p.m. Wednesday, a van was attempting to cross N.C. 17 from Wildlife Rd., when it hit a truck traveling north on N.C. 17, the investigating trooper said.

Four people, three from the van and one from the truck, were all transported to Carolina East Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, the trooper said. One of the victim was a child.

Neither alcohol or speed were factors, the trooper said. The identities of those involved were not released. Charges were pending.

The truck in the wreck had an "Advanced Signs" business logo.
