Three rescued from crystal coast waters

CARTERET COUNTY -

A water rescue Saturday plucked three people from their sinking boat off the Crystal Coast.

Coast guard officials say the group was on a 23-foot boat near the Cape Lookout Shoals.

The trio's boat ran aground at about 8:30 a.m., and they called for help.

Workers with Tow Boat U.S. got the people off the boat, and took them to Coast Guard rescuers.

Tow Boat U.S. brought the damaged boat to shore.

No one was hurt.
