Suspects identified in Lenoir County shooting
Four arrests have been made in a Monday shooting, according to the Lenoir County Sheriff's office. Tahj Simmons, 19, John Dawson, 18, Kody Pike, 18, and Cameron Hill, 19, all face charges including attempted first degree murder, first degree burglary, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Investigators say they believe Tahj Simmons was the shooter who injured Julius Styles in his home. Investigators also believe the motive is robbery. Each bond was set at $750,000.
A man was found shot and laying on the floor inside his home, deputies said.
Julius Styles was discovered with two gunshot wounds at his home on 2604 Old Poole Road in Kinston Monday, said Chief Deputy Christopher Hill of the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office
Styles was taken to Vidant Medical Center, and according to a hospital official, he was in fair condition.
The shooting was believed to have happened early Monday morning, Hill said. Investigators had several suspects in mind, as well as a motive for the shooting. They said they will release more information at a later date.
