Several people are injured in a three-car crash.

The incident happened in Jones County, north of Pollocksville, on Highway 17.  Emergency crews got the call around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Troopers say one of the vehicles was trying to turn left on Killis Murphy Road with a car waiting behind it when another car rear-ended the two.

The highway was reduced to one lane as troopers investigated the crash.
