Cigarette Robbery
MAYSVILLE -

Police are searching for thieves who broke into a local grocery store and stole two thousand dollars of cigarettes.

It happened at the Piggly Wiggly in Maysville around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police say one of the thieves threw a brick through the door of the store and stole 40 to 50 cartons of cigarettes from inside.

“It used to be a pretty quiet town,” Susan Morris, who lives in Maysville, said. “Now it seems like everything's getting broken into.”

Police describe the two suspects as six feet in height, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds.

Officers say the men took off in a dark-colored Chevy Trailblazer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Maysville Police.

A $2,500 reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
