Police find 1,000 bags of heroin

GREENVILLE -

Greenville Police said they found 1,000 bags of heroin inside a vehicle during a traffic stop.

Trevor Forte, 32, and Omeekaah Willis, 33, both from Bronx, NY, are held in the Pitt County Detention center, each under a $1 million bond.

Police said they stopped the two suspects' car on N. Memorial Dr. in Greenville on Monday. A routine search turned up the drugs.

Forte and Willis are each charged with trafficking heroin by possession and transportation.
