Police: Trio tries to steal crossbow

Kinston Police are looking for three people who they say tried to steal a crossbow from a sporting goods shop.

Police say, in late October, two men and a woman entered the Neuse Sports Shop in Kinston and walked out with a crossbow, worth a reported $1200.

Investigators said the trio also took a jacket.

When employees approached the suspected thieves, they dropped the bow and drove off in a green Honda.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Kinston Police.
