KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY -

A man was shot in the neck around 1:25 a.m. Saturday, according to Sgt. Keith Goyette with the Kinston Police Department.

Police found that victim, who has not been identified, at a hospital.

He reported to police that he was a robbery victim.

It happened near the intersection of East Street and Washington Avenue, the same area as where a fatal shooting happened just hours before.

Goyette says investigators aren't sure whether the two shootings are related. Goyette says the early morning shooting didn't appear to be life-threatening.

Goyette says officers are investigating the incident.
