Police: Man holds up Greenville Dollar General with shotgun

GREENVILLE. PITT COUNTY -

Police said they are looking for a robber who used a shotgun to hold up a Greenville Dollar General Wednesday night.

The heist happened at the 200 block of Airport Rd. at about 9:20 p.m. According to investigators, the man, armed with a sawed-off shotgun wrapped in duct or electrical tape, demanded money from the store clerk. He then took of with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black leather jacket, camouflage plants, and gloves. He was seen leaving the store riding a black and red mountain bike on Highway 11, towards Belvoir Rd.
