Police: Man broke into clubhouse, stole property
A Pitt County man allegedly broke into a clubhouse in Greenville and tried to steal some property.
Police were called when a witness observed 23-year-old David Ruffin, of Grimesland, allegedly crawl through a fence of a business at 2001 Copper Beech Way.
Police said Ruffin repeatedly pulled on a set of doors until they opened.
When officers arrived, they found Ruffin in the computer area.
He was arrested.
12 additional warrants were served on Ruffin. Stolen property was recovered from his belongings.
He is charged with 9 felonies and 5 misdemeanors, and is being held on $100,000 bond.
