The Greenville Police Department arrested a man accused of more than 50 car break-ins across Pitt County.

Phillip Parson, 21, was arrested on December 4 and is now charged with 50 counts of breaking and entering into motor vehicles and 50 counts of larceny, along with other charges related to the string of thefts.

Parson has not been connected to the car break-ins that have happened at Pitt County churches.

The 21-year-old is now in jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

The case is still under investigation.  Greenville Police say Detective C.A. Walker and Detective S.E. Pyles helped to link the suspect to these incidents.
