A man pleaded guilty Monday to killing another man on Christmas Eve more than two years ago in Greenville.

Kelly Mills pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as part of a plea deal. His armed robbery and conspiracy charges were dismissed.

According to Pitt Count deputies, Mills and two other men robbed and killed 55-year-old Danny Tyson at the victim's Dynamite Drive home in Greenville, on Dec. 24th, 2010. Investigators said Mills shot Tyson with a shotgun at point blank range.

Tyson's co-worker found the victim's body in his house a few days later, investigators said.

The judge ordered Mills to serve between 20 and 25 years in prison, and pay $5,000 in restitution.

The two other suspects in Tyson's murder, Jokshon Prayer and Alfred Tyson (no relation to the victim) were both indicted on first-degree murder charges.
