Onslow County Native Killed in Afghanistan

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -

Military officials say a Marine corporal from North Carolina has died in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense said Wednesday that 23-year-old Cpl. Daniel L. Linnabary II of Hubert died on Aug, 6 in Helmand province.

Linnabary was assigned to 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
