Man to be Sentenced for Child Porn

A Havelock man pleaded guilty to having child porn.
Brian Vancourt, 39, was indicted by a federal grand jury in January. Prosecutors said Vancourt, a previously convicted registered sex offender, was caught distributing child pornography by an undercover Colorado police officer.
In April, 2011, investigators searched Vancourt's Havelock home on McCotter Boulevard. They said they found thousands of child porn images and videos on Vancourt's computer.
Vancourt will receive 15 to 40 years in prison. He will be sentenced in November.
