Man sentenced to 176 years in federal prison

A federal judge has sentenced a man to 2,119 months in prison for his part in a string of armed robberies in Wayne and Wilson Counties.
Domonic Devarrise Usher, 30, was convicted on 15 charges related to robberies at several Dollar General and Family Dollar stores in Goldsboro, Pikeville, and Wilson.
The robberies happened between December 2009 and March 2010. Convictions included seven counts of conspiring to rob businesses engaged in interstate commerce and seven counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Usher was also ordered to pay $13,749 in restitution.
