Rescue crews pulled a man from the water Saturday afternoon in a case of rough seas off the Crystal Coast.
A call for help went out about 3:40 p.m.; a boat was taking on water in the Bogue Inlet, according to an official with the Emerald Isle Fire Department.
One of the two men on the boat had fallen into the water.
Coast Guard crews arrived and pulled the victim aboard a rescue boat; the man had symptoms of hypothermia and was taken to a hospital, crews said.
The other man was not injured.
The boat, a sport vessel of approximately 16 feet, is at Coast Guard Station Emerald Isle, crews said.
