A blown transformer forces a high school to release early due to no power.

Onslow County Schools confirmed that Southwest High School will release at 10:45 a.m. due to no power.  A transformer in the area blew this morning.  Other schools in the area were affected, but those schools were able to regain power.

Parents were sent a message of the early release.  This will count as a full day for students.
