The mother of Jesse Adams released the following statement Tuesday:
"The Jesse Ray Adams Foundation has been set up not only to help with the expenses of laying our loved one to rest, but to also help other children who may be in a similar situation. We want to use the Foundation to promote awareness and education on Domestic Violence. If we can keep any other families from enduring what we have endured over the last couple of days, it will make Jesse's life all the more memorable. We strive to keep Jesse's name alive and on everyone's mind long after our tragedy is over. Going forward, we promise to use any funds that are left to protect and serve the children who deserve more than we have been given. We encourage people to continue to give to our cause. We never imagined ourselves in this situation we are in, and we will strive to help keep any other parent or grandparent from ever thinking they have to face a tragedy like this alone. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the donations, prayers, and acts of kindness that have been showered on our family. Jesse Adam's name has touched more lives in the last few days than most peoples will touch in a lifetime. Jesse may be gone, but he will never, ever be forgotten. That is the mission and purpose of this foundation."
