Beaufort County deputies arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his father.

Benjamin Scott Schwartz, 26, was in jail under a $30,000 bond.
   
Deputies said they were called to a home on North Savannah Road in Belhaven at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, when Schwartz was reportedly threatening to shoot his father. Investigators said when they arrived, they found Schwartz's father stabbed in the torso. He was treated and released from a hospital.
     
A loaded semi-automatic assault rifle, six loaded 30-round rifle magazines, a .40 caliber semi-automatic hand gun and a knife were seized from the home.

Schwartz was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
